A host of new laptop models coming from Xiaomi has recently obtained certifications from the Bluetooth SIG, as spotted by the guys over at MySmartPrice. By the looks of it, Xiaomi intends to expand its mobile PC portfolio with as much as six new laptop models, and at least two of these appear to be powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen 4000 APUs.
First up are two entry-level laptops: the RedmiBook 14 Ryzen Edition 2nd Generation that is a refreshed version of the 14-inch model launched last year, and a new 16-inch version dubbed RedmiBook 16 Ryzen Edition. The other four models include the Mi Laptop 13.3 / 14 / 16.1 and a Mi Notebook 14, which are brand new additions to the Xiaomi mobile PC portfolio. It is not yet clear if these four devices will be getting Ryzen CPUs, as well, but seeing how many OEMs are jumping on AMD’s bandwagon as of late, chances are in favor of such a move.
All six models will be integrating Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, with the Mi Laptop 13.3 even getting a V 5.1 certification, suggesting that this particular model could also be integrating an advanced Wi-Fi module. Additionally, the certificates show various version numbers that most likely correspond to SKUs with different processor, RAM and storage configurations.
According to MySmartPrice, these laptops may first launch in China and India, with global releases coming later this year.
