Xiaomi announces MIUI 12 update roadmap, and it contains over forty devices
Announced alongside the Mi 10 Youth Edition, MIUI 12 features a host of changes from MIUI 11, an OS that Xiaomi only released six months ago. With that said, stable versions of MIUI 12 will not start arriving on Chinese handsets until the end of June at the earliest. Hence, it could be July or August before we start seeing a global rollout of MIUI 12.
Nonetheless, Xiaomi has released its first MIUI 12 release schedule, and over forty devices have been included. Essentially, Xiaomi will upgrade those devices currently running Android 9.0 Pie or Android 10, as MIUI 12 drops support for Android 8.1 Oreo and below.
Please note the release schedule only applies to the China branch of MIUI. However, while other branches will have different schedules, it should broadly reflect the devices that will eventually receive MIUI 12.
