Huawei Honor Smart Screen TV: Over 100,000 pre-orders before its August 10 unveiling
The Honor Smart Screen TV is set to be unveiled on August 10 at the Huawei Developer Conference 2019 (HDC 2019) in Songshan Lake, China, but it has already been causing a stir. The company has published several teasers so far about the Smart Screen TV, but no definite images of the device have appeared yet.
However, that has not stopped over 100,000 people from pre-ordering the upcoming TV ahead of its launch. Huawei and Honor have been whetting people's appetites for the last few weeks, with some Honor fans receiving an HDC 2019 invitation card containing a pop-up living room with a stylised Smart Screen TV on the wall. The invitation also confirmed that Honor would announce the TV at 14:30 Beijing Time (06:30 UTC / 02:30 EDT) on August 10.
Honor Boss George Zhao has already released some technical details about the Honor Smart Screen TV, with the device running the much-talked-about HongMeng OS. Moreover, Honor has integrated a HiSilicon Hongjun 818 SoC and a pop-up camera. All shall be revealed in 3 days.
