We may have already seen the design of the Mate 30 thanks to a leaked marketing poster that appeared online last week, and now Huawei has confirmed when it will unveil the Mate 30 series, or the Mate30 as it is currently being called. This morning the company took to its @HuaweiMobile twitter account to announce that it will host a Mate 30 series event in Munich on September 19.
The marketing material hints at the series containing some sort of circle, with @HuaweiMobile claiming that the company is going "full circle" with the Mate 30 series. The circle in today's marketing material looks uncannily like the one surrounding the rear-facing camera array in the image of the Mate 30 in last week's leaked marketing poster, which we doubt is a coincidence.
Unsurprisingly, Huawei has partnered with Leica for the cameras in the Mate 30 series, just as it has with previous P and Mate series devices. All marketing material also contains the strapline "Rethink Possibilities", which frequent and reliable leaker @UniverseIce suspects means that a breakthrough in cinematography.
The Huawei Mate 30 series launch event will begin at 14:00 CEST (UTC +02:00) on September 19. The location of the event is currently unknown, apart from that it will be in Munich.
Did you get it right? The countdown to #HuaweiMate30 starts now!
