The two patents that Huawei filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office at the end of May — and were published last Friday — reveal one color scheme known as "Breathing Crystal" alongside a black/gray design. These color options might become available for other Huawei devices as well and should be unveiled in early September at IFA 2019.
Huawei announced the high-end P30 lineup a few months ago, but the existing models might get two new color schemes starting next month. One of these two new color options is a refreshed "Breathing Crystal" design while the other is nothing more but a Google Pixel-style black/gray combo.
The new color schemes have been revealed by Huawei in two design patents that have been filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on May 28 and were published at the end of last week — on August 23, to be more specific.
The new Breathing Crystal color scheme comes with a light blue area on top that is — apparently — not sensitive to light and the rest of the back cover is the same as before. The second design combines a black area that ends below the LED flash, with a larger light gray area that covers the rest of the back cover.
The Huawei P30 is expected to show up with these colors at IFA 2019 in early September and will probably hit the market in a few days after its debut. The upcoming Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro are also supposed to get the new color options, but about one month later.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
