MSI has displayed several new laptops at Computex 2023, but we observed that the upcoming Prestige 16 Evo / Prestige 16 Studio will be powered by Intel Meteor Lake offerings. Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake CPUs are expected to share the “15th gen” moniker as the former will allegedly only target the mainstream Core i5 buyers while the enthusiasts will be served by the latter. According to a recent leak from RedGamingTech, the P-cores on Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake CPUs will bring a single-digit and up to 20% IPC gain vs Intel Raptor Lake respectively.

Intel will soon rebrand its Core lineup of client processors starting from the 14th gen Meteor Lake generation. The first signs of this came from a leaked Ashes of the Singularity benchmark that refers to the CPU as an Intel Core Ultra 5 1003H with 18 cores and 18 threads. Subsequently, an Intel rep confirmed that a rebrand for the client lineup is indeed underway and that more details would be shared soon.

Samsung attempts to balance performance, mobility, power consumption and noise emissions in the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra 16 - and does well as a result. The Core i7-13700H and GeForce RTX 4050 deliver plenty of performance for gaming and rendering, even at reduced power.

LG has started selling the Gram SuperSlim, a 15.6-inch laptop with an OLED display and a lightweight build. The LG Gram SuperSlim also combines an Intel Core i7-1360P processor with a 60 Wh battery, which can be recharged through any of its three USB Type-C ports.

Intel is reportedly launching the Meteor Lake processors for laptops by October of this year while the desktop MTL-S CPUs could be slated for H1 2024. According to a slide recently shared by leaker Bionic_squash on Twitter, the desktop Intel MTL-S could only go up to Core i5 CPUs with the ARL-S Core i9 chips serving as the true top end.
