Minisforum has unveiled its latest Intel-powered high-end mini PC, dubbed the AtomMan X7 Ti, scheduled for official release on May 20th at 19:00 PST.
Powered by Intel's Core Ultra 9 185H processor, the X7 packs quite a punch thanks to the Ultra 9's 16 cores and 22 threads with a maximum boost clock of 5.1 GHz. Of the 16 cores, 6 are performance cores based on the Redwood architecture and 10 are efficiency cores based on the Crestmont architecture. The performance of this CPU will vary greatly depending on the system's thermal management, which has been addressed by Minisforum through a cooling fan paired with triple copper heat pipes. Nevertheless, independent testing will provide a clearer picture of its real-world performance.
In the realm of graphics, the X7 Ti relies solely on the Arc Iris Xe iGPU with 8 Xe cores (128 EUs) and support for hardware-accelerated ray tracing via 8 RT cores. While commendable for an iGPU, its performance, akin to an RTX 2050 Laptop GPU, might not meet the expectations of gaming enthusiasts, although the product isn't primarily targeted at them. However, thanks to the inclusion of OCulink with transfer speeds up to 64 Gbps, users seeking additional GPU grunt can turn to eGPU options such as the OneXGPU 7600M XT eGPU (curr. $835 on Amazon).
