Just after Star Wars Day, Acemagic unveiled the M2A Starship mini PC. Claimed to be a “AAA” gaming system, it sports a futuristic chassis with dual wings on the side, RGB lights, and four cooling fans. These fans have dedicated air vents and are paired with a total of seven copper tubes.
While this cooling setup may seem like an overkill for a mini PC, the company seems to have packed it with a discrete graphics card, which does demand a proper cooling solution. Speaking of which, Acemagic hasn’t revealed which GPU and CPU the M2A Starship will be coming with.
However, one teaser image revealed that the graphics card can operate at 45 watts with a 4162 MHz frequency and 3000 MHz GPU memory speed. While 45 watts is relatively low for a dGPU, the latter two aspects hint that it’s not an iGPU, which most gaming mini PCs opt for (such as the Minisforum UM790 Pro that's curr. $439.99 on Amazon).
Besides, the Acemagic M2A Starship has a display on the housing. It’s there to offer real-time information on the GPU and CPU. Of course, this isn’t the first mini PC to come with such a screen. We’ve already seen AOOSTAR doing a similar thing with its GEM12 Pro.
The company hasn’t revealed the price or launch date of the mini PC either. However, on the official product page, Acemagic is currently offering a 35% early bird discount for those who subscribe to receive updates on the M2A Starship.
