The Corsair One i500 has gotten a complete redesign for the first time, but the case has almost doubled in size - 21.7 liters (5.73 gal) instead of 12 liters (3.7 gal) and mATX instead of micro-ITX is now installed.
Corsair uses the additional space to install the latest flagship components, starting with the Intel Core i9-14900K and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090. Both the processor and graphics card are equipped with liquid cooling, which are intended to "reduce temperatures to a minimum" and keep fan noise "particularly low". However, an initial test by ComputerBase shows a different picture - the older Corsair One i400 was a whole 10 dB quieter despite having a much smaller case, and the active VRM cooling has also been removed without replacement.
Corsair justifies the high price with a particularly high-quality case, which is largely made of aluminum in the new model, but also has a front made of real wood, either maple or walnut. The case has RGB lighting on the front and bottom as well as a white LED on the back, which illuminates the ports. The front is touch-sensitive, allowing users to control the lighting. There are magnetically attached dust filters on the sides to make cleaning easier. Thunderbolt or USB 4.0 are not on board.
Price and availability
The Corsair One i500 is now available online directly from the manufacturer's store, either in a light gray case with light wood or in a dark gray case with a dark wood front. Both variants come with the GeForce RTX 4090, 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB M.2 SSD for $4699.99.
