XPG claims to be first to overclock DDR5 RAM to over 8,000MT/s

XPG has announced that it is the first OEM to get its DDR5 RAM to reach a speed of over 8,000 megatransfers per second (MT/s). The company claims to have achieved this feat using memory with a default clock of 4,800MT/s. The RAM in question is to be launched later in 2021.

Samsung presents updated roadmap for its upcoming 3 nm and 2 nm production nodes

Samsung will be the first company to implement Gate-All-Around transistors (known as MBCFET) with its upcoming 3 nm node scheduled to go online in the first half of 2022. A second gen 3 nm node is planned for 2023, while the 2 nm node should be ready by 2025. TSMC, on the other hand, will only adopt GAA technology with its 2 nm nodes scheduled for 2024.

According to reports, Xiaomi is looking to pack plenty of impressive hardware within the Redmi K50 Pro Plus. Even a periscope camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner could be headed the way of the Redmi K40 Pro Plus successor.

A UK retailer has leaked the price of AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 6600 graphics card. Sapphire expects to sell the Navi 23-based card for over £435, equivalent to US$475 without sales taxes. VideoCardz has leaked several other custom cards too, including an ITX model.
