The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED is a large and heavy laptop that's designed primarily for creators. The main 15.6-inch OLED screen is superb, while the secondary ScreenPad Plus offers a set of controls specific to certain creative applications, as well as accommodating any application or app element you drag there, and catering for a small range of bespoke tools. It's a nice idea, but to squeeze it in Asus has had to compromise the touchpad and eliminate the wrist rest in favour of a provided accessory. Running two high-resolution screens and the top-end processor compromise battery life to the point where you'll always need convenient access to mains power, making mobile working something of a challenge. These factors, plus the cost, make the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED a laptop for a very specific set of creative/power users.

I adore the novelty on display here. With a few software updates in the right direction, the ScreenPad Plus could make a novel complement to content creation workflows, while future iterations of the hardware could help bridge the performance gap. But even then, the ScreenPad Plus’ potential utility doesn’t overcome the ergonomic concessions required to make it fit, resulting in a deskbound laptop that delivers a lesser user experience to hooking a second monitor up to your run of the mill machine. Without some killer app or functionality, the second display is more hindrance than help. Your funds would be better spent on something more traditional, like Dell’s XPS 15 OLED, and using the money you save on a full-sized screen.

The ASUS ZenfoneASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED UX582 is an outstanding content creator laptop that is unlike others in the market on account of its versatile ScreenPad Plus secondary display. Impressive performance combined with a colour accurate main OLED touchscreen display and versatile ScreenPad Plus secondary display make it a desirable choice for content creators though the squashed keyboard, low 60Hz refresh rate on the displays and middling battery life make it a modest shoe-in for casual gamers. Content creators who still need a secondary touchscreen but in a portable form factor and less pixel crunching power with a commensurately more affordable price tag can consider the ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482.

So, was Boys Like Girls always right? Is two always better than one? Well, with a vibrant 4K OLED main screen, a secondary ScreenPad Plus, and excellent performance, the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED has a lot going for it. But without an all day battery life and with a pretty heavy weight, it’s best to think of the laptop as a desktop that you can carry around – only if you really need to. With that in mind, the flaws of the laptop with regards to limited I/O and strange hardware placements become easy to accept. Overall, at $4,998, the laptop isn’t for the average user. It’s a laptop made for a specific niche of power users, professionals, artists, media creators, and gamers.

The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo 15 (UX582L) is an outstanding piece of kit if you are a creative professional who wants a powerful laptop with the versatility of a 2-in-1 without the actual hassle of using one, assuming its very high price point is in line with your budget and you don't need to type for a living.

The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is a good premium laptop for content creators who have the funds to splurge on this pricey machine.. The Pro Duo benefits from its dual 4K OLED displays, which add to its versatility and essentially gives you a built-in portable monitor. Performance is also excellent and the included stylus makes this a good choice for artists. Yes, the keyboard and touchpad take some getting used to but they shouldn’t deter you from choosing the Duo. However, before you spend your money, consider whether two screens could benefit your workflow. Although it’s perfect for a constant content creator like myself, others may find it too niche for their needs.

Benchmarks aside, the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo is hard to compare with other PCs. Its closest competition may be a multi-monitor desktop, or a laptop with an attached travel monitor. The Pro Duo is more portable and versatile than either of those options, especially with the software tools Asus has thrown on top. For a certain niche of artists, media creators, and gamers, all that might add up to something special, even if it’s unattainable for the rest of us.

Regardless of whether you have US$3,000 to spend on a laptop, you have to respect Asus for the one it’s come up with. The Asus Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED UX582 has two touchscreens, including a 4K OLED display in the usual spot and a squatter OLED screen just above the keyboard. It’s also a beastly machine, with an Intel Core i9-10980HK CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, and 32GB of RAM. You might dismiss the Zenbook Pro Duo as a gimmick, but Asus has been doing the dual-screen laptop dance since 2019. The UX582 refines both the design and second-screen software of the original model. Asus is clearly committed to the concept, and while it’s not for everyone, it does provide real utility for content creators who have a few grand to burn.

I am very impressed with this amazing laptop. In my opinion, the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED UX582 is a really high-performance workstation with quality components. It is thanks to this that you can not only organize a full-fledged workplace to perform tasks of any complexity, but also have a reliable modern laptop for other needs. If you need a laptop from the future, feel free to buy ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED UX582. It's worth every penny spent.

Is this a content creator’s dream notebook? There are two ways to look at it: the objective and the subjective. Objectively, this notebook has a lot going for it. Even though it has two displays and considering its specifications, ASUS has done a commendable job at keeping it relatively compact and portable. The main display is brilliant. OLED and 4K means colours are terrific and sharpness is faultless. My only complaint insofar as the displays are concerned is that the secondary ScreenPad Plus display is clearly of lower quality. So when you look at the two together, the difference in quality can be distracting.

Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX582 is not one of those regular, average laptops. It's a power-packed workstation with top-notch specs on paper as well as in terms of performance. Despite coming with dual-displays, Asus has not compromised with the overall design of the laptop. Instead, it has made noticeable improvements like the hinge mechanism that is both practical and useful. The secondary display is definitely an improvement over the previous generation. With these features and a price tag of Rs 2,79,990, Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX582 does stand out from others. The price surely sounds hefty, but there is no going back once you start using the laptop. Creators will know it better.

The ZenBook Pro Duo is not your average 15-inch laptop. This demands a hefty premium over the more standard notebooks with similar specs, justified by the engineering put into this product and the dual touchscreens, one of them being an awesome OLED panel. At the same time, this design does come with compromises in weight/size and practicality on the go, older hardware, and a high price, all these making it a difficult recommendation in today's environment, especially with the ROG Zephyrus Duo being an alternative with the same kind of dual-screen format, a few notable advantages, and a more affordable price.

ASUS has given the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED UX582 a massive upgrade both inside and out, giving the laptop a massive edge in both raw computing power as well as thermal management and graphics capability VS the previous generation device. Despite the improvements, the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED UX582 retains the same price as its OG predecessor from 2019. While it does cost a fortune, you definitely get what you pay for.

I used the ZenBook Pro Duo for close to 10 days, and I love it. But I have to admit that this isn’t made for the work I do. If you are someone who plans to manage a growing YouTube channel, or if you are an interior designer, I see this machine as an investment. The dual-screen does have its own advantages but I still think there’s a lot to be done to improve the software experience on such notebooks.

Model:
The latest Asus ZenBook Pro Duo 15 (UX582L) is a major step up from previous ZenBook Duo models and is aimed squarely at creative professionals who are willing to make a major investment in their craft. In terms of its design, the Pro Duo 15 is going to stand out regardless, but there are still a number of standout features that makes it a unique laptop. The chassis is basically a rugged, solidly built unit with an attractive celestial blue brushed magnesium-aluminium finish. In addition, there is a secondary display that lifts up to a comfortable angle when the lid is open. While it may look like there is not much airflow intake on the underside and might make the laptop get especially hot. But that is definitely not the case as there are ample venting from the side vents and also from vents underneath the secondary display. However, it is worth noting that the secondary display takes up most of the space where the keyboard deck would normally be, so the keyboard and trackpad are pretty cramped down on the bottom half. Therefore, writing is the only creative content this laptop is not well suited for, unfortunately. Apart from that, the included stylus provides a good response on both displays, so stylus wizards out there will get a lot of use out of it, assuming the AAA battery powering does not run out.
One of the biggest let downs of the ZenBook Duo Pro 15 might be its limited number of ports, including the complete lack of an SD card slot of any kind. For instance, photographers and videographers might need to use a dongle or wireless and cloud transfer for their work. This might not be entirely possible with this ZenBook. In addition, the USB Type-C ports are also Thunderbolt 3 and not Thunderbolt 4 ports. As for its performance, this laptop has been incorporated with the RTX 3070 GPU and Intel Core i9 processor along with a 32GB RAM. This definitely provides some truly incredible performance on a host of content creation tasks. It obviously opens more than a dozen high resolution photos in Adobe Photoshop and switches between them quickly while applying filters, editing and cropping. In terms of its battery, the Asus ZenBook Duo Pro 15 (UX582L) has been equipped with a 92WHr battery. However, it is worth mentioning that the battery might still struggle for long running with two 4K OLED displays, especially without an 11th-Gen Intel processor with Intel Evo certification. Apart from that, the Asus ZenBook Duo Pro 15 (UX582L) comes in with the standard 720p webcam which can be obtained in even the best Windows laptops, so there is not much to say about it. However, the lack of physical shutter for the webcam might increase the risk of third-party access of the webcam through hacking. Overall, the laptop is a good laptop with its own high and low points to be considered.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
