Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro Plus is expected to arrive with a massive 5,000 mAh battery and a periscope camera
Much has already been made of the Redmi K50 series, including that the handsets may arrive as soon as December 2021. Reputedly, the base model will launch with a Snapdragon 888 SoC and a 64 MP main camera, albeit one borrowed from the POCO F3 GT, among others.
Now, Chinese leaker Bald Panda has published a few details about the Redmi K50 Pro Plus, the presumed heir apparent to the Redmi K40 Pro Plus. Allegedly, the Redmi K50 Pro Plus will launch with the Snapdragon 898 and a 108 MP primary camera, which has leaked before. Last month, Abhishek Yadav also revealed that the Redmi K50 Pro Plus will support 120 W charging, like the Redmi Note 11 Pro, and will feature a Samsung E5 AMOLED display.
However, Bald Panda adds that the Redmi K50 Pro Plus will utilise a 5,000 mAh battery too, a favoured capacity by Xiaomi for its high-end Redmi handset. Additionally, the leaker asserts that the Redmi K50 Pro Plus may have a periscope camera, which Xiaomi usually reserves for premier smartphones, such as the Mi 11 Ultra and the Mix 4.
Moreover, Bald Panda believes that the Redmi K50 Pro Plus contains an in-display fingerprint scanner, another premium feature. By contrast, the Redmi K40 Pro Plus has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, which some people may prefer. Unfortunately, we still do not know what the Redmi K50 series looks like, but we doubt it will be too long before renders appear.
