Renders and a concept video of the upcoming Redmi K50 have been posted by HoiINDI, who made a good attempt with some Xiaomi Pad 5 renders not too long ago (although the “MI” logo was incorrect). The Redmi K50, which more than likely could end up becoming the POCO F4 for the global market if it follows on from the predecessors Redmi K40/POCO F3, has been given a triple camera setup for the main unit on the rear that sits inside a circular housing.
The design of the camera arrangement is more akin to something from OnePlus or Huawei, such as the OnePlus 7T or Huawei Mate 40, as the Redmi K40 series had small curved rectangular units in the top left-hand corner. The Redmi K50 imagined here has a large central circular housing that would certainly help the smartphone stand out of the crowd. The Redmi K30 and K30 Pro had circular housings, but they were nothing like the one shown here.
On top of the huge circular camera system, this Redmi K50/POCO F4 has very narrow bezels and a small punch-hole selfie camera in the top left-hand corner. The Redmi K50 is likely to be joined by the Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+, with at least one of those probably featuring a Snapdragon 898. If Xiaomi doesn’t deviate too much from its recent past in regard to naming schemes, then it’s possible the Redmi K50 Pro+ could end up being sold around the world as the Xiaomi 12i.
