Poco F4 GT to debut with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 as Xiaomi readies the Dimensity 7000 for the Redmi K50 series
MediaTek is geared to launch its first proper flagship chipset in years, the Dimensity 9000, shortly. The chipset is set to make its way to several Xiaomi devices, and it appears one of them will be the upcoming Poco F4 GT.
As revealed by Xiaomiui, the Poco F4 GT will be equipped with the Dimensity 9000. The device bears the codename "Matisse" and model number "L10". Supposedly, the Poco F4 GT will be released in China as the Redmi K50 Gaming Pro. "Matisse" is expected to debut in December and will feature a 120 Hz or 144 Hz AMOLED, a fingerprint sensor made by Goodix or FPC, and a 64 MP + 13 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP quad-camera setup at its rear. The source claims there could be a version with the 108 MP ISOCELL HM2 as well.
In addition, Xiaomi will utilize the Dimensity 9000's sibling, the 5 nm Dimensity 7000, on another imminent phone. The phone in question is tipped to be the Redmi K50 Gaming Standard Edition. That phone is said to be exclusive to China and bears the codename and model number "Rubens" and "L11A" respectively. "Rubens" is expected to feature a 64 MP main camera as well, but the sensor here is the ISOCELL GW3, as opposed to the IMX686 on "Matisse".
