ver a year has passed since Xiaomi unveiled the POCO X3 NFC, also sold as the POCO X3 in India. While the pair are broadly the same device, the POCO X3 has an 840 mAh larger battery than the POCO X3 NFC. The increased battery capacity also makes the POCO X3 10 g heavier than its sibling and 0.7 mm thicker. As its name suggests, the POCO X3 NFC contains an NFC chip and the POCO X3 lacks one.
Now, Xiaomiui has discovered the first sightings of the POCO X4 and POCO X4 NFC. According to Xiaomiui, some regulatory bodies have included IMEIs in their listings that link '2201116PI' and '2201116PG' to the POCO X4 and POCO X4 NFC, respectively. Again, the POCO X4 appears to be an India-exclusive, going off its model number 2201116PI. By contrast, the POCO X4 NFC is Xiaomi's global variant, identified by the 'G' in its 2201116PG model number.
Reputedly, the POCO X4 and POCO X4 NFC will be versions of the Redmi Note 11 Pro, which Xiaomi unveiled last month. Other sources do not corroborate this, though. Instead, the Redmi Note 11 Pro has the model number '21091116C' in China, not 2201116C.
Hence, it is unclear what specifications the POCO X4 and POCO X4 NFC offer, or if they are more Xiaomi re-brands of existing smartphones. Either way, their appearances at regulatory bodies implies that Xiaomi is close to announcing them.
