@stufflistings has discovered the POCO X4 at the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), having made its way to various IMEI databases in November. Identifiable by its 2201116PI, the POCO X4 may well be an Indian exclusive. POCO India has not started teasing the POCO X4 yet, though.
Incidentally, another POCO X4 device has shown up in Malaysia. Previously thought of as the POCO X4 NFC, the certification confirms that the handset is the POCO X4 5G, instead. Presumably, the 5G smartphone will have NFC connectivity, as well. Xiaomi has certified the POCO X4 5G with the model number 2201116PG, with the 'G' suffix denoting it as a global device.
Unfortunately, it is unclear when either the POCO X4 or the POCO X4 5G will arrive. However, we imagine that Xiaomi will leave some time from the upcoming Redmi Note 11 series and Redmi Note 11S launches, due tomorrow and on February 9. Xiaomi has confirmed that MIUI 13 will debut tomorrow, too.
