Earlier this week, the POCO X4 Pro 5G appeared on Geekbench as 'Xiaomi 2201116PG', its global model number. Yogesh Brar and SmartDroid have now revealed many of the device's specifications, although it remains unclear when Xiaomi will release it. Pricing remains unknown at this stage, too.
According to Brar and SmartDroid, the POCO X4 Pro 5G will arrive with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that operates at 1080p and 120 Hz. Allegedly, the Snapdragon 695 5G will power the handset, a 6 nm SoC that Qualcomm launched in October. For reference, the Snapdragon 695 5G contains an Adreno 619 GPU and is based on the Snapdragon 690 5G.
However, the Snapdragon 695 5G could be a significant downgrade from the Snapdragon 860 in the POCO X3 Pro. According to our database, the similar Snapdragon 690 5G only manages 69% of the performance of the Snapdragon 860. Additionally, Xiaomi will complement the Snapdragon 695 5G with 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
Moreover, Brar claims that the POCO X4 Pro 5G will be available with 64 GB or has a 64 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide, a 2 MP macro sensor and a 16 MP front-facing camera. Purportedly, only the Indian variant will feature a 64 MP primary camera. As leaked hands-on images show, the global variant has a 108 MP camera, along with a 5,000 mAh battery and 67 W fast charging.
Furthermore, SmartDroid asserts that the POCO X4 Pro 5G will launch with Android 11, not Android 12. Unsurprisingly, the POCO X4 Pro 5G will ship with MIUI 13 as well. Reputedly, Xiaomi has named the colour variant shown 'Laser Black' on account of its striking back panel design.
