Realme's second-gen GT series is rated to pack specs that include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in its top-end Pro variant. The OEM has now revealed that they are coming to the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022, in order to launch worldwide as part of their maker's showcase for this event.
Realme's GT2 Pro may have been among the first flagship smartphone to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in China; however, this did not stop it striving to stand apart with an ostensibly eco-themed special edition, not to mention the 2022 product cycle's first DisplayMate A+ rating for its cutting-edge LTPO 2.0 display. Now, its maker has announced that it is finally ready to say hello to the rest of the world.
It will do so alongside its Snapdragon 870-powered GT2 sibling on February 28, 2022...which of course means the phones are coming to this year's MWC event in order to launch outside China. Many consumers may be glad to see them arrive at last, as their predecessor the GT was one of the most affordable premium phones of 2021 in a number of markets.
Realme has yet to confirm whether the GT2 and 2 Pro will debut with all of the specs, features and unusual finishes from their initial release. However, given the wider market they are now poised to dive into, there would be little reason to do so without all their most competitive features.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
