POCO X4 5G: Global version of Xiaomi's upcoming mid-range smartphone surfaces with Android 11, a Snapdragon 695 and 6 GB of RAM
The POCO X4 5G has taken another trip to Geekbench, with its Indian variant having been benchmarked using the software earlier this month. This time, someone has tested the 2201116PG, with the 'G' in its model number denoting that it is a global variant. Additionally, Geekbench confirms that 2201116PG has the codename 'veux', also assigned to the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.
Based on these Geekbench listings, it seems likely that the global POCO X4 5G will rely on the same SoC as its Indian sibling. If the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is anything to go by, the POCO X4 5G should launch with the Snapdragon 695, a 6 nm SoC that Qualcomm revealed in October. Geekbench does not refer to the Snapdragon 695 by name, but the CPU core clusters and clock speeds match those listed by Qualcomm. Unfortunately, Geekbench suggests that Xiaomi will unveil the POCO X4 5G with Android 11 too, not Android 12.
Incidentally, the POCO X4 5G appears to be nailed on for at least 6 GB of RAM, matching the POCO X3 NFC. According to Mysmartprice, Xiaomi has certified the POCO X4 5G with the Wi-Fi Alliance too. However, the website has not provided any proof that this is the case. While POCO will be hosting a hardware launch event tomorrow, the POCO X4 5G is not expected to arrive just yet. Instead, POCO will probably host a dedicated POCO X4 5G event.
