Xiaomi has just released the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, its third smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. While the company has only unveiled the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition in China, it has certified its global equivalent with numerous regulatory bodies. As expected, the device is the POCO F4 GT, model number 21121210G. In comparison, Xiaomi has assigned model number 21121210C to the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition.
As the screenshots below show, Xiaomi has certified the 21121210G with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), FCC and the TUV. Additionally, IMEI numbers shown in regulatory documents return the name POCO F4 GT. Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi will release the POCO F4 GT with MIUI 13, its latest in-house version of Android.
Incidentally, Xiaomiui noticed that POCO teased the release of another smartphone during its POCO M4 Pro 5G presentation yesterday in India. This could potentially be the POCO X4, but the silhouette could easily be the POCO F4 GT. The POCO X4 may arrive soon as well, though. Specifically, its global version has recently appeared on Geekbench sporting a Snapdragon 695, as we have discussed separately.
