Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro 5G: Indian launch date confirmed with outdated software on the cards
Xiaomi has confirmed when it will announce the POCO M4 Pro 5G in India, which we reviewed in late January. While the company has not revealed how much the POCO M4 Pro 5G will cost in India, the device sells for €199 in the Eurozone. Xiaomi released the POCO M4 Pro 5G three months ago for reference. Also, the device is a POCO-branded version of the Redmi Note 11 sold in China.
Accordingly, the POCO M4 Pro 5G has a Dimensity 810 SoC that powers a 6.6-inch and 90 Hz display. Additionally, the device has a 50 MP primary camera, a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 33 W wired charging. Unfortunately, it seems that the POCO M4 Pro 5G will appear in India with MIUI 12.5 and Android 11, not MIUI 13 and Android 12.
Currently, Xiaomi has not upgraded the POCO M4 Pro 5G to its new OS in any regions, and POCO continues to list 'MIUI 12.5 for POCO, based on Android 11' on its website. The POCO M4 Pro 5G will be available from February 15 in India. Based on POCO India's latest teaser, the POCO M4 Pro 5G will arrive with the same colours in which it is available elsewhere. Hence, the POCO M4 Pro 5G should be orderable in Cool Blue, Power Black or POCO Yellow.
