Xiaomi Redmi K50: Flat display, more official renders and Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition teased ahead of February 16 launch event
Xiaomi may not be revealing the Redmi K50 series until February 16, but the company has already plenty about at least the Redmi K50 Gaming. Since yesterday, the company has showcased more official marketing images, embedded below. Not only has Xiaomi shown the device's full back panel, it has also highlighted the device's display.
As the image below demonstrates, the Redmi K50 Gaming has a flat display with what appear to be relatively thin bezels. Additionally, the Redmi K50 Gaming has a centred punch hole front-facing camera, mirroring the Redmi Note 11 series. The Redmi K50 Gaming has several gaming buttons as well, which Xiaomi has carried over from the Redmi K40 Gaming.
Incidentally, it seems that Xiaomi will release two versions of the Redmi K50 Gaming. Seemingly, Xiaomi has returned to its Mercedes-AMG partnership, last seen with the Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition. If that special edition model is anything to go by, the Redmi K50 Gaming Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Edition will be nothing more than the standard model in the F1 Team's livery.
According to 91mobiles, Xiaomi will sell the Redmi K50 Gaming in three memory configurations. It remains to be seen which of these Xiaomi brings to the Redmi K50 Gaming's global equivalent though, thought to be the POCO F4 GT.
