Xiaomi Redmi K50 series prices, configurations and global release window revealed

@Shadow_Leak claims to have obtained pricing and chipset details for the Redmi K50 series, currently believed to contain four devices. Currently, Xiaomi has not revealed how many Redmi K50 series it plans to release, but it has confirmed a few details about the upcoming smartphones.

Namely, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 model will arrive before a Dimensity 9000 version does. According to Lu Weibing, Redmi General Manager, we should not expect to see a Redmi K50 handset with a Dimensity 9000 until Xiaomi releases a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant. Also, at least the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version will support 120 W fast charging, among other flagship features.

With that in mind, Digital Chat Station discovered that Xiaomi had registered three new Redmi K50 handsets with a Chinese regulator. As we have discussed separately, these devices have the model numbers 22021211RC, 22011211C and 22041211AC, with their 'C' suffixes denoting that they are Chinese only devices. While Xiaomi has confirmed that these devices will launch this month, @Shadow_Leak alleges that a global launch is not planned until the end of March or early April.

The leaker adds that the Redmi K50 series will start with the regular Redmi K50, priced at CNY 1,999 (~US$314). Supposedly, the entry-level model will contain a Snapdragon 870, Qualcomm's re-branded Snapdragon 865+. By contrast, the Redmi K50 Pro will rely on the Dimensity 8000, with the Redmi K50 Pro+ the device said to feature the Dimensity 9000.
