The POCO F4 has arrived on Geekbench sporting Android 12, a Snapdragon 870 SoC and 8 GB of RAM. The device has appeared on the benchmarking website following the launch of the Redmi K40S, on which the Redmi K50 will be based.

The POCO F4 has been seen again online, just a few days after Xiaomi launched the Redmi K40S in China. To recap, the Redmi K40S is a re-badged Redmi K40 that retains most of the latter's specifications. Hence, the Redmi K40S relies on the Snapdragon 870, a 4,500 mAh battery and Samsung's E4 AMOLED display. However, the Redmi K40S comes with an optically-stabilised primary camera, which the Redmi K40 lacks.

While Xiaomi has not commented on the POCO F4's release yet, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) published multiple documents about it earlier this month. Listed as the '22021211RG', the POCO F4 could effectively be a re-run of last year's POCO F3. A recent Geekbench listing supports this, which also refers to the POCO F4 by its model number.

As the screenshot below shows, the 22021211RG has 8 GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 870 SoC, and runs Android 12. For reference, the 'G' suffix in 22021211RG confirms that it is a global device. It remains to be seen whether the POCO F4 will adopt the Redmi K40S' design, although only a lick of paint separates the POCO F3 from the Redmi K40. The release date for the POCO F4 has not leaked yet either. The POCO F3 is a year old tomorrow, so we may not be that far from its successor's arrival.
