POCO F4 GT: Xiaomi brings Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 gaming smartphone to the UK at a £200 discount with a pre-order bonus

Xiaomi has introduced the POCO F4 GT in UK, a month to the day after the company brought the smartphone to European shores. To recap, the POCO F4 GT features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which was Qualcomm's flagship mobile chipset when the handset debuted. However, Qualcomm has since announced the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, the details of which we have covered separately.

Additionally, the POCO F4 GT has a 4,700 mAh battery that supports 120 W charging and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 1080p and 120 Hz. Moreover, Xiaomi has included a 64 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2 MP macro lens and a 20 MP front-facing camera. While those cameras are somewhat uninspiring, the POCO F4 GT posseses physical magnetic pop-up gaming triggers, a feature that most smartphones lack.

Initially, Xiaomi will sell the POCO F4 GT for £499 with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. According to the company's promotional page, that price includes 2 months of YouTube Premium, although the offer is only valid until May 30 at 23:59 BST. Also, Xiaomi is only offering the POCO F4 GT in Stealth Black at this price; Cyber Yellow and Knight Silver colourways will become available after the smartphone returns to its £699 MSRP.
