It seems that another entry in the POCO F4 series is on the verge of being released. While POCO India was rather coy in its earlier announcements, it has since confirmed that its next smartphone will be the POCO F4, marketed as the POCO F4 5G on account of its 5G modem.
As expected, the POCO F4 5G will see a global launch. However, the lack of teasers on the POCO Global Twitter account suggests that India will receive the POCO F4 5G before other countries. Incidentally, RootmyGalaxy has shared hands-on photos of the POCO F4 5G, building on an image that Xiaomiui leaked previously.
Currently, it is unclear what 64 MP camera the POCO F4 5G has, but it will support OIS like the 48 MP sensor in the Redmi K40S. There is no guarantee that more megapixels will produce higher quality images, though. Since the POCO F4 5G is a re-branded Redmi K40S, it will rely on a Snapdragon 870 SoC, plus an AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 1080p resolution. Presumably, the POCO F4 5G will cost as much as its predecessor, which launched for €349 in the Eurozone.
