Xiaomi Poco F4 officially teased to offer "Everything You Need"
The Poco F4 is coming. For the first time yet, Xiaomi sub-brand Poco has now made direct references to its plan to release a successor to the incredibly popular Poco F3. In a letter shared yesterday on the Poco India official Twitter page, the company announced its plans to bring the Poco F4 to the market soon:
"Yes, it's finally time to talk about F..." the company wrote. "...For a while, we forged connections by delving deep into gaming (like the GT)...F has always been the benchmark for this segment and this time our focus is back on Everything You Need..."
The letter goes on to mention efficiency and media consumption, strongly hinting at the Poco F4 ditching its performance-focused roots in favor of a more balanced orientation. "Immersive display and audio" are highlighted but there's no mention of camera performance or anything related to content creation.
While all of this was likely intended to create hype for the Poco F4, fans of the series may do well to temper their expectations for a true flagship killer with a top-of-the-line SoC. Earlier this year, Poco equipped the Poco X4 Pro 5G with a Snapdragon 695 weaker than the Snapdragon 860 on the Poco X3 Pro. The Poco F4 may toe a similar line, with rumors claiming it will be powered by the same Snapdragon 870 on last year's Poco F3.
