A few weeks ago, live images of a device looking to to be the Poco F4 Pro surfaced in the wild. Word on the grapevine claimed the Poco F4 Pro would be placed above the Poco F4 GT and Poco F4 in the lineup but those reports appear to have been off the mark.
According to Xiaomiui, it appears Xiaomi has now shelved all plans for a Poco F4 Pro release. The Poco F4 Pro was originally intended to be a global rebadge of the Redmi K50 Pro that was released in China back in March. That would have meant a MediaTek Dimensity 9000, a 108 MP main camera, and a Poco-first QHD+ 120 Hz AMOLED. Unfortunately, it now appears the Poco F4 Pro will never see the light of day, with the Redmi K50 Pro and all its hardware to remain stuck in China exclusively.
On the other hand, the Poco F4 is set to arrive shortly. Poco's marketing campaign for the phone is already in full swing, and the company has confirmed the presence of a Snapdragon 870 and LiquidCool 2.0 technology on the phone. From all indications, the Poco F4 will be a rebadged Redmi K40S, albeit while trading in that phone's 48 MP camera for a 64 MP shooter.
