Xiaomi may have just released the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro globally, but attention has turned to the prospect of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. According to new rumours, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra may arrive later than expected and could mirror the MIX 4 in its availability.

Rumours continue to swirl about Xiaomi's next flagship smartphone, thought to be the 12 Ultra or the MIX 5. Earlier this month, Digital Chat Station suggested that Xiaomi may release the handset in April, although Pricebaba and Mukul Sharma claim that this will not be the case. Instead, the pair assert that Xiaomi has scheduled the device's launch for May, but only in China.

However, Xiaomiui believes that Xiaomi will wait until June before it unveils the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Xiaomiui adds that Xiaomi has been developing the Xiaomi 12 Ultra under the codename 'Unicorn' and has been assigned the model number '2206122SC'. Typically, Xiaomiui and others refer to upcoming Xiaomi smartphones by shortened model numbers, such as L2S in the Xiaomi 12 Ultra's case.

Moreover, Xiaomiui believes that the L2S will be a Chinese exclusive, regardless of what name under which it launches. Supposedly, this will also apply to the L1 and L1A, touted as more unreleased Xiaomi flagship smartphones. According to Xiaomiui, Xiaomi will reveal the L1 and L1A under the MIX series.
