Xiaomi launched the Redmi K50 series on March 17. The company, in typical fashion, has now released its early sales figures for the series, with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000-powered Redmi K50 Pro apparently doing the business.
As revealed by Redmi on Weibo, the company sold over 330,000 units of the Redmi K50 Pro in just five minutes when it went on sale for the first time. That's an impressive number, and shows the high demand for the phone in China. The Redmi K50 Pro starts at CNY 2,999, and selling north of 330,000 units would net Xiaomi well over US$150 million.
While this sounds impressive, numbers like this are typical for every major Xiaomi launch. The company made sales of over US$280 million from the Xiaomi 12 series in just five minutes as well earlier this year, while the Mi 11 and Redmi K40 also both sold over 300,000 units in five minutes when they debuted.
