Xiaomi launches a cheaper robot vacuum, the Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner 3C
Xiaomi has announced the Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner 3C, a device with a high suction power of up to 4,000 Pa and four-speed suction control. The gadget also has LDS laser technology for more stable and accurate mapping and navigation.
The vacuum’s laser is housed on top of the device, giving the gadget a scanning range up to 8 m, 2k per second sampling frequency and its readings are accurate to within 2.5%. The Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner 3C has multiple sensors to give it 360° visibility.
The gadget has a mopping function, with water and dust housed separately in the device. An intelligent water control system ensures that the water is distributed carefully and evenly. Bow and Y-shaped cleaning paths mimic human mopping motions.
You can control the robot vacuum through the Mijia app or Xiao AI voice control. Also, you can use the Mijia app to schedule or monitor cleanings and customize your maps, such as naming various rooms or cleaning zones.
Xiaomi suggests that the Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner 3C will receive over the air (OTA) updates, though it does not specify what these could include. You can pre-order the device in China for 1,199 yuan (~US$188) until April 30th. After this point, the gadget will retail for 1,299 yuan (~US$204).
