The HomeKit compatible Aqara Smart Thermostat S3 will soon be available
Aqara has created a website listing for the Smart Thermostat S3, suggesting that customers will soon be able to buy the Apple HomeKit compatible gadget. The device, which was unveiled in December, supports Siri voice commands. Alongside Siri, you will also be able to use Xiao Qiao, a Mandarin-speaking AI assistant, to control the device.
The Smart Thermostat S3 can control heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Plus, you can use the gadget to manage underfloor heating and water heating. The heat-regulating device has a 3.95-in (~10.0 cm) full-color LED display, which you can use to view and control the thermostat’s settings.
Built-in sensors regulate both the temperature and humidity in a room. Using the Zigbee wireless connection, you can also connect external Aqara sensors to the thermostat. Users will be able to view the data collected by the device should they wish.
The gadget is small, measuring 3.4 x 3.4 x 1.6-in (86 x 86 x 41.4 mm). The operating temperature of the thermostat is between 10-40 °C, and the device has a 0-95% working humidity.
The Aqara Smart Thermostat S3 is due to launch in mainland China, though an on-sale date or price have not been confirmed. It is also unclear whether or when the device will be available for the rest of the world.
