The ProBeam DBU510P is the more expensive sibling of the ProBeam DBF510P, discussed separately. While the latter retails for €2,799, LG has priced the former at a whopping €3,999. The ProBeam DBU510P has a few extra tricks up its sleeve compared to the ProBeam DBF510P though, albeit in the same 370 x 290 x 155.7 mm housing. For reference, the ProBeam DBU510P weighs 9.7 kg, too.
According to LG's website, the ProBeam DBU510P is a 4K DLP laser projector with up to 20,000 hours of lamp life. Like the ProBeam DBF510P, ProBeam DBU510P peaks at 5,000 ANSI Lumens and only has a manual focus. Similarly, the latter offers a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio and creates 40- to 300-inch projections. Also, the projector provides 1.6x optical zoom and a 1.30-2.08 throw ratio.
However, LG has included automatic vertical keystone correction. Unfortunately, LG has not confirmed the ProBeam DBU510P's colour space coverages, which it has for the ProBeam DBF510P. Incidentally, the former should consume up to 380 W and operates at 26 dB(A) when set to Eco mode. By contrast, projector noise rises to 29 dB(A) when using the ProBeam DBU510P in its normal mode. The ProBeam DBU510P will be orderable in the Eurozone from the end of this month; this is no word yet on availability in other markets. The ProBeam DBU510P will launch with the following ports too, along with two 5 W speakers:
- 2x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 2x HDMI
- 2x RJ45 Ethernet
- 1x 3.5 mm audio jack
- 1x VGA
