SelectBlinds.com launches new Apple HomeKit compatible smart shades powered by Eve MotionBlinds
SelectBlinds.com has launched two Motorized Architect Roller shades, powered by Eve MotionBlinds motors and compatible with Apple HomeKit. The roller shades are available in light filtering and blackout variations, with various color options.
You can control the blinds on your iOS device or with Siri voice commands via WiFi or by using a remote control. Alternatively, you can set a routine for your shades to automatically open or close at a set time. Through HomeKit ‘Scenes and Rules’, you can sync the motorized blinds with other smart devices such as light bulbs and motion detectors.
SelectBlinds.com says that the shades are easy to install by snapping the roller into mounting brackets then scanning a setup code using an iOS device to connect the gadget to HomeKit. There is no hub required to integrate the device, thanks to the device’s Thread and Bluetooth connectivity built into the headrail of the blind. SelectBlinds.com claims that these are the first blinds on the market to support Thread.
The Motorized Architect Light Filtering Roller and Motorized Architect Blackout Roller are currently selling in the US from the discounted prices of US$357.35 and US$365.61, respectively. The regular retail price for the blinds starts at US$567.21 for the light-filtering version and US$580.33 for the blackout shade.
