Hisense has unveiled a new version of the 120L9 in China, which it describes as a Laser TV. However, the Hisense 120L9 series operates like a laser projector than a conventional TV. Hisense bundles a special screen with 120L9 models to maximise picture quality, somewhat distinguishing it from other laser projectors.
Referred to as the Laser TV 120L9-Pro, the device has a wide touchscreen on its front for displaying various information and contextual buttons. You do not need to get up to control the Laser TV 120L9-Pro though, at least if the non-Pro model is anything to go by. Also, Hisense has built the Laser TV 120L9-Pro around Android, which should provide a greater degree of versatility than competing laser projectors that rely on propriety operating systems.

Unsurprisingly, the Laser TV can create up to 120-inch images. According to Hisense, the device outputs at full 4K, (3,840 x 2,160) and covers both the BT.2020 and DCI-P3 colour spaces. In other words, the Laser TV 120L9-Pro should deliver excellent colour accuracy, as well as sharp visuals.
Moreover, Hisense has included a 50 W sound system and bundles a wireless subwoofer to handle low frequencies. At the heart of the Laser TV 120L9-Pro lies a quad-core SoC with four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores, complemented by 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Currently, the HiSense Laser TV 120L9 Pro sells for CNY 119,999 (~US$18,291) in China. While the company has not confirmed whether it will release the Laser TV internationally, it has released the standard 120L9 in other markets.
