Xiaomi 12 Ultra: Specifications and pricing leak for upcoming powerhouse smartphone
@Shadow_Leak has outlined numerous Xiaomi 12 Ultra specifications, presumed to be the company's next flagship smartphone. According to the leaker, Xiaomi has equipped the handset with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, a chipset rumoured to arrive this month. Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will have a large display, which @Shadow_Leak alleges will be based around the Samsung E5.
Purportedly, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra's display will measure 6.73-inches across while operating natively at 2K and 120 Hz. Additionally, the OLED panel will offer 10-bit colour depth and will rely on an LTPO 2.0 backplane, rather than the third-generation version that Vivo showcased with the X80 Pro. @Shadow_Leak adds that the display should feature an under-panel optical fingerprint scanner too, a mainstay of modern flagship smartphones.
Moreover, the leaker asserts that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra has stereo speakers, an x-axis linear motor and an IR blaster. Elsewhere, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to offer a 4,900 mAh battery that supports 50 W wireless, and 120 W wired charging. Allegedly, the device will launch with the following camera hardware as well:
- Front-facing: 32 MP
- Primary: 50 MP (Sony IMX989/OIS)
- Ultra-wide: 48 MP (OIS)
- Telephoto: 48 MP (120x digital zoom)
While @Shadow_Leak has not shared a launch date, they have outlined how much the Xiaomi 12 Ultra could cost in China. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether Xiaomi will reveal the 12 Ultra outside China, which @Shadow_Leak tips to debut in black, marble and white colourways:
