POCO Watch: Renders of Xiaomi's first POCO smartwatch leak as POCO Buds Pro design also emerges
Yesterday, POCO confirmed launch dates for the POCO Watch and the POCO Buds Pro, both due on April 26. For reference, the pair will arrive during the same launch event as the POCO F4 GT, the global version of the Redmi K50 Gaming. Incidentally, the POCO Watch will also be a re-branded Xiaomi smartwatch, not the 70mai Saphir Watch as previous rumours suggested.
While neither @OnLeaks nor Digit. In report that this is the case, the POCO Watch is the spitting image of the Redmi Watch 2. Accordingly, the POCO Watch has a 1.6-inch AMOLED display that resolves at 360 x 320 pixels. Likewise, Digit. In states that the POCO Watch measures 39.1 x 34.4 x 10 mm, the same dimensions as the Redmi Watch 2. Based on these similarities, we expect that the POCO Watch 2 weighs 31 g too and is 5 ATM water-resistant.
Furthermore, the POCO Watch should arrive with a proprietary OS, not Wear OS. Digit. In adds that the POCO Watch has a 225 mAh battery, another similarity with the Redmi Watch 2. Presumably, the POCO Watch will support Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS, along with heart rate and SpO2 monitoring. POCO will even sell its first smartwatch with the same colours in which the Redmi Watch 2 is already available.
Separately, @OnLeaks and Digit. In have leaked POCO Buds Pro renders, showcasing the Genshin Impact Edition livery in the process. In short, these are a re-branded Redmi AirDots 3 Pro Genshin Impact Edition that debuted last month in China. Hence, the earbuds should boast up to 28 hours of battery life, IP54 certification and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, among other features.
