Xiaomi's sub-brand POCO has certified a new device with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), thereby re-igniting rumors of a new C-series Android phone in the works. Accordingly, the new leak might offer an insight into what the brand will sell for ~US$110 in 2022.

POCO is a brand capable of releasing high-end phones in its by-now signature bright and eye-catching colors; however, it also has a reputation for cheap and equally cheerful phones. Accordingly, one of these is said to arrive in markets such as India soon as the new C4.

This is based on the reported discovery of the POCO 220333QPG on the FCC's database, which now reveals that the phone is a 4G/LTE-only device and runs MIUI 13. The new leak reveals nothing more about its specs, although it does indicate that this putative C4 has also been approved in jurisdictions such as the EU, Malaysia, Mexico and Ukraine.

Should a successor to the C31 truly be on the way, it is said to land as a re-branded Redmi 10C, a device that launched recently with a 6.71-inch HD LCD display driven by a Snapdragon 680 SoC, 50+2MP rear cameras and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging. It does indeed run MIUI 13, albeit the version based on Android 11 rather than 12.

Therefore, it will be interesting to see if it re-launches as the POCO C4 at around the same INR 7999  to 8999 (~US$105-110) price bracket.
