Xiaomi Watch S1 rumoured to be launching in Europe from €200
Purportedly, Xiaomi is preparing to release the Watch S1 in Europe soon, a smartwatch that it already sells in China. Introduced last December in its home market, the Watch S1 has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, a built-in GPS module and 5 ATM water resistance. Additionally, Xiaomi equips the Watch S1 with a 470 mAh battery, over 110 exercise modes and an NFC chip for making mobile payments.
According to @TechInsiderBlog, the Watch S1 will launch in Europe with Space Black, Ocean Blue and Moon Silver colourways. While Xiaomi did not describe the differences between the trio in its Chinese launch, @TechInsiderBlog asserts that the company will sell them in Europe at different price points. Apparently, the Watch S1 will be available at the following approximate prices:
- Watch S1 Active - €200
- Watch S1 'base' - €250
- Watch S1 'silver' - €260
In short, these prices place the Watch S1 in competition with the Galaxy Watch4, which has recently received several new features. Unfortunately, it is unclear when Xiaomi will launch the Watch S1 outside China. Potentially, the smartwatch could arrive alongside the Xiaomi 12 series, as it did in China. However, Xiaomi has not hinted when the Xiaomi 12 or Xiaomi 12 Pro will be available in other markets, either.
