A previous leak talked about Xiaomi working on multiple variants for its popular Xiaomi Watch S1. Among them was an affordable "Active" model slated to cost around €200. Their release date remains elusive as ever, but the overwhelming consensus is that they'll be unveiled alongside the Xiaomi 12 series. Some Xiaomi Watch S1 Active renders have emerged online Twitter leaker Ishan Agarwal (via 91mobiles).
Aesthetically speaking, one of the main differences between the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active and the Watch S1 is the shape of its hardware buttons. As pictured in the renders, the latter's buttons are flat, unlike the cylindrical buttons on the former.
The change is borderline necessary, as bulky buttons would hinder many physical activities, and that would be counterproductive for a fitness-centric smartwatch. Lastly, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active will be offered in three colourways, Black, White and Blue.
It is hard to tell how the Xiaomi Watch S1 Active will differ from the Watch S1 internally. Xiaomi could probably keep some features exclusive to the latter, but everything else, including the 1.43-inch AMOLED screen, SpO2 sensor, heart rate sensor and 470 mAh battery, will likely remain the same.
