Another Xiaomi phone, this time a Poco M3 reportedly explodes without warning
It wouldn't be Christmas without some fireworks, though that's unlikely to be an opinion shared by the owner of a Poco M3 that reportedly just went up in flames without warning. If this report is anything to go by, this makes for the third Poco device to explode this year, and Xiaomi may have to start taking all of this seriously.
According to owner Subhan Khan on Twitter, their four-month-old Poco M3 suddenly exploded while laying on the table. Supposedly, the phone was not in use when this happened. It's unknown if a charger was plugged in at the moment, though, since that appears to be the case with quite a number of phone explosions.
Earlier this year, a Poco X3 went up in flames, with the company infamously laying all blame on the owner. That was followed by a Poco C3 also exploding, in addition to a Redmi 8 and Redmi Note 9 Pro. It's been a tough year for Xiaomi, although it's a bit interesting that all aforementioned incidents occurred in India. Poco India has since reached out to Khan in an attempt to find out what really happened. We'll keep you updated.
