Update 11/23: According to information via Xiaomiui, MIUI 13 beta will start rolling out from November 27 after the current beta period for devices not getting updated to Android 12 ends. Xiaomi is expected to officially unveil MIUI 13 during the company's event on December 16.
Update 11/19: As per Abhishek Yadav's latest update on Twitter, the Poco M3 Series and the Poco M4 Series are also in the reckoning for MIUI 13. The list of Poco devices below has been corrected to include the Poco F2 Pro instead of Poco F2 and the Poco F3 instead of Poco F3 Pro. Readers may kindly note. We will update with any further changes if any.
Original article:
Xiaomi has been steadily rolling out the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition to eligible devices around the world. Back in August, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that MIUI 13 will hit eligible devices by end of 2021. Now, it looks like we have information on the first devices slated to receive this update.
This information comes via known leaker Abhishek Yadav on Twitter. According to Abhishek, the list of Xiaomi devices that will receive MIUI 13 include:
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 4
- Xiaomi 11
- Xiaomi 11T
- Xiaomi 10
- Xiaomi 10T
- Xiaomi 9 Series
- Xiaomi Mix Alpha
- Xiaomi Mix Fold
- Xiaomi CC9 Pro
In the case of Redmi phones, the following devices are expected to receive MIUI 13 soon:
- Redmi K30 Series
- Redmi K40 series
- Redmi Note 11 Series
- Redmi Note 10 Series
- Redmi Note 9 Series
- Redmi 10 Series
- Redmi 9 Series
- Redmi 10X Series
Finally, these are the Poco devices slated to get updated to MIUI 13:
- Poco M2
- Poco M2 Pro
- Poco X2
- Poco X3
- Poco X3 Pro
- Poco F2 Pro
- Poco F3
- Poco C3
This information largely matches with what we've reported before. However, we do see devices such as the Poco M3 Pro not being indicated. Instead, the Poco M2 seems to have taken its place for the moment. We also do not see mention of the 11X, 11X Pro, Note 10, and Note 10 Pro.
It could be that these devices are being considered for testing and official rollout at a later date. Xiaomi will opt for a phased update program similar to what we've witnessed during the MIUI 12 rollout. It is good to know that devices such as the Poco M2 Pro will now be receiving their third Android version update since launch.
Also, according to information via @xiaomiui on Twitter, the MIUI 13 stable update is already being tested on several flagship Xiaomi devices including the Mix 4, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Ultra, 11 Lite 5G, 10S, Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+.
Some of the new features and improvements coming to MIUI 13 include floating widgets, customized notification management, virtual RAM expansion, smoother animations, improved power management, a new always-on-display, better privacy, and of course more themes.
