Lively MIUI 13 design hinted at in leaked images of Xiaomi's revamped file manager app
Images and a brief animated clip of Xiaomi’s file manager app v4.3.0.2 have been leaked online, likely via a current closed beta testing of the MIUI 12.5 software for Chinese ROMs. Various sources have already speculated that the appearance and redesign of this version of the file manager app points to this possibly being a first look at what can be expected from MIUI 13, which is rumored to be making its debut on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 later this year.
Anyone who currently has a slight older version of the Xiaomi file manager app will likely be pleased about the design overhaul. The current app is far from intuitive and is clunky or even dull in appearance, depending on your subjective view of it. The redesigned file manager v4.3.0.2 has a fresh, livelier look to it, with the main icons more individually refined and folders having rounder edges to them – possibly to reflect the round edges of the new Mi logo. The Mi Drive app has also had a potential "MIUI 13" lick of paint added to it too (see images below).
A brief clip, also shared by @xiaomiui, shows the folders in this beta file manager app being reorganized, with the animation seeming to function in a quick and fluid manner. It’s more than possible that the icon, folder, and animation designs on show here actually hint at what’s to come with the MIUI 13 Android overlay. Those more curious about the software can test it for themselves, although as it was prepared for Xiaomi smartphones with China ROMs it may not function properly on devices with alternative-region ROMs.
