MIUI 13 possibly coming in August right on time for a rumored Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 release
The Xiaomi executive Li Ming has offered up some interesting details about the Chinese OEM’s plans that might have also subtly announced when MIUI 13 could start rolling out. A translation of a Chinese-language post he made on Xiaomi’s official community forum features this opening statement:
Let me talk about the conclusion first, our internal testing mechanism will be adjusted in August following the new major version of MIUI.
Of course, running the original Chinese text through different translators offers up differing results, so it is possible that this translation has been conveniently taken to mean an August release for MIUI 13. A pinch of salt should be taken for the time being, although new Mi Mix 4 specification details could help lend weight to an August or September appearance for MIUI 13, as leaks often drip out faster when a product release grows closer.
According to another report out of China, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will sport a 5,000-mAh battery and support both 120 W wired fast charging and 80 W wireless quick charging. It has long been rumored that the Mi Mix 4 will run MIUI 13 right out of the box, and a third-quarter release is expected for the new entry to the innovative Mi Mix range. So it is possible both the Mi Mix 4 and MIUI 13 will be grabbing headlines for Xiaomi in August.
