The Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus to launch globally soon, likely in Europe first
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus last month, with the pair joined by the entry-level Redmi Note 11. Since then, MIUI confirmed the pair's global and Indian launch names, with India set to receive them as the Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, instead.
Now, Mukul Sharma has revealed that Xiaomi could be on the verge of announcing the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus globally. We should stress that Xiaomi will probably arrange a different launch event in India for the Xiaomi 11i and Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge. While not yet confirmed, it would be unusual for Xiaomi to unveil smartphones globally and in India simultaneously but under different names.
Reputedly, Xiaomi has started testing the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus internally for release in the Eurozone. Unfortunately, neither Sharma nor 91mobiles has provided a specific release date. However, the latter implies that this is one of Xiaomi's final stages before announcing a device.
To recap, Xiaomi equips the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus with broadly the same hardware. The pair both feature a Dimensity 920 SoC and the same display, for example, along with a 108 MP primary camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. However, the Redmi Note 11 Pro has a larger battery, while the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus supports faster charging.
