Redmi is currently tipped to launch one of the most hotly-anticipated line of smartphones as the K50 series, not the least because one of them is tipped to launch with the new MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. This variant - the rumored Gaming edition - is the one said to have passed through testing by an official Chinese body.
Redmi's successors to the K40 series are currently projected as polished smartphones with potentially high-end specs. Furthermore, the Xiaomi brand is expected to produce a gaming variant of the series again, which may be particularly exciting as it is the one rumored to rock MediaTek's possibly flagship-grade Dimensity 9000 SoC.
This "Redmi K50 Gaming Pro" may also have leaked under the code-names Matisse and L10 in the past. According to Digital Chat Station, it is also the Xiaomi 21121210C. Should this be the case, the new putative speed- and performance-focused variant has just passed through Chinese Ministry for Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) testing.
Should this be the case, it may mean the K50 series has just taken an important step closer to launch. It may do so in China to start off with, although there is scope for its release outside this country, even if they arrive under various different rebrands: for example, the Gaming Pro just might launch internationally as the POCO F4 GT.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
