Alleged Redmi K50 specs were leaked a few days ago and now another tech tipster who frequents the Chinese social media site Weibo has posted more information about both the Redmi K50 and the Redmi K50 Pro. The blogger, whose name is machine translated as “Blast digital”, started off with charging details. Once again, a 67 W fast-charge capability was mentioned for the Redmi K50; however, it seems the K50 Pro could boast of supporting either 100 W or even 120 W fast charging.
The leaker then moved on to details about the main camera sensor for both the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro. While the regular model will apparently get at least a 48 MP lens, it seems the Pro edition will sport a 108 MP rear main camera. It’s possible a larger sensor will be fitted into the Redmi K50 to allow for 4-in-1 pixel binning.
Lastly, the chip for the Redmi K50 Pro is mentioned as either the Snapdragon 895…or the recently reported Snapdragon 898. Either way, whatever name Qualcomm decides to give the future chipset, it will be a flagship offering that could supposedly help the Redmi K50 Pro score over an impressive one million points on the AnTuTu benchmark.
The Redmi K40 was released onto the global market as the POCO F3 while the Redmi K40 Pro+ ended up being also known as the Xiaomi Mi 11i. Things got even more confusing when Xiaomi released the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro+ in India as the Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro, respectively. A similar situation could befall the Redmi K50 series, especially if it includes a Redmi K50 Pro+ model as well.
