Redmi Note 8 Pro: Xiaomi expands MIUI 12.5 and Android 11 rollout to include European units
Earlier this month, Xiaomi started the MIUI 12.5 rollout for the Redmi Note 8 Pro. The rollout began with the company seeding the OTA to Mi Pilot Testers on the Global ROM but things are finally pushing on, with Xiaomi expanding the rollout to include European models of the Helio G90T-powered phone.
The new update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro bears the software version number "V12.5.2.0.RGGEUXM". As previously stated, this particular build is for European models. It appears, however, that owners in France will not be receiving the update yet. This update delivers both MIUI 12.5 and Android 11. As it's a full OS upgrade, it's a sizeable download, weighing in at 2.2 GB.
A similar update is also rolling out to the Indonesian model of the device, with the OTA bearing the software designation "V12.5.2.0.RGGIDXM". It appears to be the same build, so we expect this build to be the same size as the European update. As with the European OTA, this update delivers MIUI 12.5, Android 11, and the July security patch.
