Redmi General Manager polls fans for ideas about the Redmi K50 series; teasers dropped by leaker
Xiaomi launched the Redmi K40 series in February 2021, which it has released under different names outside of China. However, the first teasers for the Redmi K50 series have already started appearing, courtesy of Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing.
Writing on Weibo, Lu Weibing has asked fans what features, configurations and experiences they would most like from future K50 products. Weibing would, undoubtedly, only post this on social media if Xiaomi already had the Redmi K50 series in development.
While Weibing has not offered any specifics about the Redmi K50 series, Digital Chat Station has provided some insights. According to the popular leaker, Xiaomi plans to integrate faster-charging speeds into Redmi K50 handsets, along with improved displays and refined optics.
The Redmi K40 series is no slouch in any other these areas, mind you. However, some of its competitors outperform Xiaomi's handsets in some areas, such as charging speeds and battery capacity. Unfortunately, it is unclear at this stage when Xiaomi plans to reveal the Redmi K50 series. Weibing's teaser implies that the series will debut soon though, probably before 2022 rolls around.
