Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note 10 Lite, a device with which many people will already be familiar. The Redmi Note 10 Lite is nothing more than the Redmi Note 9S, or the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India. The Redmi Note 10 Lite will be available from October 2, starting at INR 13,999 (~US$190).

Xiaomi has revealed another new smartphone, although the Redmi Note 10 Lite is anything but new. As we discussed last month, the Redmi Note 10 Lite is nothing more than the Redmi Note 9S, or Redmi Note 9 Pro when bought in India. In fact, the Redmi Note 10 Lite only differs from its Redmi Note 9 siblings in one area, its new Champagne Gold colourway.

Hence, the Redmi Note 10 Lite is also available in Aurora Blue, Glacier White and Interstellar Black. All models have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, a 5,020 mAh battery, a 6.67-inch and 1080p display and 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. Xiaomi will sell the Redmi Note 10 Lite with 64 GB or 128 GB of storage, too. By contrast, Xiaomi sold versions of the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9S with 4 GB of RAM.

Additionally, the Redmi Note 10 Lite contains no camera upgrades compared to the Redmi Note 9 Pro or Redmi Note 9S. For example, a 48 MP camera remains the device's primary sensor, complemented by a 16 MP selfie camera.

The Redmi Note 10 Lite will be available to order in India from October 2 at 10:00 IST (04:30 UTC). The device starts at INR 13,999 (~US$190) and rises to INR 15,999 (~US$215) for 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Meanwhile, the 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage variant will cost INR 16,999 (~US$230).
